Project Summary: Revamping Social Media Aesthetic, Engagement, and Content, Press Releases, Merchandise, and Communication Advocacy for Abortion Rights and Reproductive Health
This project aimed to overhaul the visual appeal, user engagement, and content strategy of PPAC’s social media platforms in order to effectively advocate for abortion rights and reproductive health. By revamping their social media aesthetic across TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, Threads, and Facebook, I created a visually cohesive and captivating brand identity that resonates with our target audiences. Additionally, I employed innovative engagement strategies, such as interactive polls, Q&A sessions, and “Week in the Life” videos featuring PPAC’s campaign manager, to foster a sense of community and encourage open dialogue around these critical issues. Furthermore, I helped regularly craft and distribute impactful press releases to media outlets, solidifying ourselves as thought leaders in the field of reproductive health.
To spread our message beyond the digital realm, we also designed, advertised, and sold Pride-themed merchandise that not only promotes abortion rights but also generates funds for organizations working tirelessly on reproductive health initiatives. Ultimately, robust communication advocacy underlines PPAC’s efforts, enabling effective collaboration with like-minded organizations and individuals, and forging alliances that will strengthen the fight for reproductive rights. Through this comprehensive approach, we aimed to raise awareness, mobilize supporters, and ultimately bring about positive change in the realm of abortion rights and reproductive health.
